Wakefield Development Company Brings Home Nine NCHBA STARS Awards
RALEIGH, N.C., Sept. 20, 2005 – Wakefield Development Company
of Raleigh captured nine awards – more than any other developer – at
the third annual North Carolina Home Builders Association STARS
Award competition earlier this month.
Leading the way was Bedford at Falls River, the 608-acre traditional
neighborhood community in North Raleigh, which captured four STARS
Awards, including Best Sales Center, Best TV Ad, Best Newsletter
and Best Website.
Two other Wakefield Development communities were recognized – Mackintosh
on the Lake in Burlington won two awards for Best Logo and Best
DVD, while Wakefield Plantation in North Raleigh earned an Outstanding
Achievement Award for Community Brochure.
In addition, the company claimed two overall awards for Best Corporate
Website (www.wakedev.com)
and Best Color Print Ad.
The awards were presented earlier this month at the NCHBA Builder
Expo & Conference in Charlotte. The competition attracted over
122 entries, and the event was attended by over 350 homebuilders,
developers and guests.
Wakefield Development Company is the largest developer of residential
communities in North Carolina’s Research Triangle of Raleigh,
Durham, Cary and Chapel Hill. In 2004, the company’s communities
welcomed a record of over 3,000 families and generated over $750
million in new home sales, Myers said, and is on pace to top those
figures this year.
