Eagle Ridge Tops Century Mark, Extending Three-Year Streak of Record Sales

RALEIGH, N.C., August 30, 2005 – Eagle Ridge is emerging as the hottest-selling community in Southern Wake County. So far this year, the 530-acre golf community off Old Stage Road in Garner has generated 104 new home sales for $26.2 million, according to sales figures released by John Myers, president of Wakefield Development Company, the community’s developer.

It’s the first community in southern Wake County to exceed 100 new home sales in a single year, and, with four months still remaining in 2005, it’s already eclipsed the sales record it set last year, when it produced 85 sales for a little over $20 million, Myers said.

Hot sales numbers are nothing new for Eagle Ridge. The community has actually been on a winning streak for the last three years, attracting 320 families and producing nearly $75 million in new home sales during in that period, Myers said.

Eagle Ridge is now home to nearly 500 families, well past the halfway point to its ultimate capacity of 800 families, he added.

Eagle Ridge features a complete array of family recreational amenities, highlighted by its championship golf course designed by former US Open champion Tom Kite and acclaimed architect Bob Cupp. Also featured are an elegant new clubhouse and pro shop, a swim complex and tennis courts, a children’s playground, a private lake with walking trails.
