A company is only as strong as the environment that surrounds them,
and Wakefield Development Company believes in giving back to the
regions that have benefited their communities’ residents. In
practicing corporate citizen acts, Wakefield Development Company
has achieved several philanthropic milestones by collecting items
for clothing and food drives, sponsoring golf tournaments, donating
resources for less fortunate families during the holidays and teaming
with such local and national not-for-profit agencies like the Leukemia
and Lymphoma Society, the V. Foundation, Food Bank of North Carolina
and Carolinas’ Chapter of the ALS Association to raise funds
for research.
Specifically, Wakefield Development Company has:
- Sponsored the Leukemia and Lymphoma Societies’ show home
in Wakefield Plantation to raise money for the organizations
- Sponsored the annual Catfish Classic golf tournament at Wakefield
Plantation to help raise money for the Carolinas’ Chapter of
the ALS Association
- Sponsored less fortunate families during
the holiday season

their communities for annual drives, including Coats for Children
and the Food Bank of North Carolina
